Attention, Scoot Loopers!

The Fourth Annual Thunder on the Colorado Biker Rally rumbles into Smithville on March 19 – 21, 2010 at Vernon Richards Riverbend Park off Highway 71.  Cruise this pine tree canvassed piece of heaven that’s so intimate, the closest interstate is 40 miles away!  The legend continues as the party gets underway along the banks of the Colorado River featuring events such as live music throughout the weekend, your favorite vendors with their newest items, delicious food, cold beer, fun run, field events, biker parade down Main Street Smithville, and finishing with a blessing of the bikes on Sunday.

The fun run will take place along wildflower-swathed ribbons of back country roads with Texas watering hole stops along the way.  Return to Riverbend Park and check out the antique bikes before partaking in the wildest field events this side of the Colorado River!

A $15 entry fee gets you access to the park for all three days of the event (gates open at noon on Friday, March 19).  Attendees must be at least 21 years of age, and no pets or animals will be allowed into the fenced area of the rally.  There are a limited number of camping spots available by calling the Smithville Recreation Center at 512-237-3282 x7.  More information can be found by visiting the event website www.thunderonthecolorado.com.
